The Beta Nu chapter at FAU

Sisterhood

Our sisterhood is something that makes us truly unique and stand out amongst the rest. Even starting off as a freshmen or getting through your last semester as a senior, you'll have a strong bond with people who share similar values as you.

Philanthropy

Philanthropy is a major part of our organization. Our two main philanthropies are The Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Foundation and The American Heart Association. We also giveback to our South Florida community by participating in Community Outreach programs like Boca's Helping Hands, Feeding South Florida and Habitat For Humanity.

Social Events

We plan many different social events throughout the semester. These social events are with fraternity men and sorority women and include hockey games, grab-a-dates and so much more! We love getting involved with our Greek community and meeting new faces.

Presidents Letter

On behalf of Theta Phi Alpha at Florida Atlantic University, welcome to our chapter website! Take a look around- get to know what the Beta Nu chapter is all about and what it means to be a Theta Phi Alpha.
Looking back, I can honestly say that I never imagined myself being where I am today when I first started college. When I joined Theta Phi Alpha in Fall 2013, I really just wanted to make new friends. Little did I know, my new friends- my new sisters- would see more potential in me than I ever saw in myself. They encouraged me to be a leader; they embraced my flaws; and they loved me for who I am. Our values (justice, wisdom loyalty, faith, truth, and honor) and ritual have also been a significant part of my growth these past four years. Becoming a part of something bigger than myself has been one of the biggest blessings in my life.
Theta Phi Alpha has given me a home away from home, a support system, direction, and friends to share my college experience with. Life is not always easy. There can be some really difficult times; but sisters are there no matter what. Sisters are there through the smiles and the tears. We know that college doesn’t last forever, but that’s why we have Theta Phi Alpha. The bonds made here are ones that will truly last a lifetime, not just for the duration of our college years.
As a senior, I can confidently say that my college experience and the woman I have grown into are largely thanks to Theta Phi Alpha and our values. I am forever grateful that my sisters believe in me enough to give me the honor of serving as Chapter President. As I close this letter, I want to impart a little advice on what I learned during my collegiate years: Enjoy every moment. Time seriously goes by so quickly, so don’t take anything for granted. Take chances, and seize every opportunity- you never know which one could completely change your life.

Theta Phi Love and Mine,
Rebecca Tsang
