Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Foundation

The Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Foundation provides funding for women going through Breast Cancer who need mammograms and other necessary treatments they may not be able to afford. The Beta Nu Chapter of Theta Phi Alpha supports the battle of Breast Cancer by hosting Batting Out Breast Cancer, a softball tournament that other Greek Organizations participate in. We also put on a luncheon called "Tea for Tata's." We started supporting this foundation after one of our sister's moms was diagnosed and passed away from breast cancer. Lisa Boccard does her best to attend our event yearly and shares her inspiring story. All the money we raise from these events goes to the foundation, and this past fall we raised $4,600.

American Heart Association

Our chapter puts on a fraternity pageant   called Theta Phi Cutie Pie where we raise money for the American Heart Association  to help fight heart disease. This event is a great way to bring fraternities and sororities together to raise money and awareness about heart disease. We raised over $7,000 this year for The American Heart Association. We are also excited to be participating in the heart walk in West Palm this September.

Owlthon

We also participate in OwlThon which is a fundraiser to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. The Children's Miracle Network helps children and their families with severe illnesses. As a team we stand for 13.1 hours to support the kids who can't. This year Florida Atlantic is proud to have raised $242,718.17. We are so glad we can be a part of raising money For The Kids!

The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built

One of our national philanthropies is The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built, and it's goal is to improve the plight of the homeless in any way. We participate in this philanthropy by volunteering at local organizations that serve those in need. The aim of The House allows sisters everywhere to serve their community with a common goal.
